always put the cursor on the camera number
program field.
3.
Use the numeric data keypad to enter numeric
data. Entries are terminated with the ENTER
button and may be cleared with CLEAR and
reentered before pushing ENTER. All cell entries
must be confirmed by pushing ENTER or by
moving the cursor with the joystick or the
PREVIOUS or NEXT button. If one of these
actions is not taken, the cell's contents may be
lost.
4.
As mentioned above, the program spreadsheet
may be extended by going to the last cell and
pressing NEXT. In addition, it is possible to add a
step in the middle of the program by pressing IN,
which opens up a new cell at the current step
location. Use OUT to delete the current step
from the spreadsheet.
5. The LOCK/DELETE key will erase all program
steps beyond the current one. You may also
completely remove a sequence from memory
when you are on step 1 by pressing
LOCK/DELETE, then OFF/OUT. In addition to
deleting the sequence, the system will
automatically go back to the entrance to the
program mode. You may now enter a sequence
number and begin again or you may press
CLEAR to exit the program mode altogether.
6. You may finish programming by pushing the
PROGRAM/END or RUN/EXECUTE keys. Using
RUN/EXECUTE will automatically load the
sequence program and begin running it.
Format of Sample Sequence
The simplest way to think of the program information
is in terms of a spreadsheet type table, which
consists of four columns of information.
The table shown below is an example of a typical
sequence.

HOLD
The length of any one sequence spreadsheet may
vary from a few steps to several hundred if desired,
as long as the total length of the 60 combined
spreadsheets does not exceed 3000 steps. Each
spreadsheet must be assigned a sequence number.
When a sequence is called for use or for editing, the
user is essentially calling up a spreadsheet. Other
advanced features allow control over receiver/driver
functions in sequence steps when using the optional
Master Control Software program.
Sample Sequence Description
Once the sequence program mode has been
entered, certain fields of the monitor overlay display
will change to a format typical to the sections shown
in bold below:
023
S0001 L0005
12:01:01
>C0010<M004 D05
10-20-94
The following is an explanation of the various cells of
the program spreadsheet table:
1.
Step Number
023
S0001
L0005 12:01:01
>C0010<M004 D05 10-20-94
The step number is a non-alterable field. It is
only a reference point for the location in the
program spreadsheet. When in the program
mode this number is displayed on the monitor
message line in the form of "Snnnn" where nnnn
equals the number of the step currently being
displayed or edited.
2.
Length
023 S0001
L0005
12:01:01
>C0010<M004 D05 10-20-94
The length number is a non-alterable field. It is
used only for indicating the total number of steps
of the program spreadsheet. When in the
program mode, this number is displayed on the
monitor message line in the form of "Lnnnn"
where nnnn equals the number of steps.
3.
Camera Number
023 S0001 L0005 12:01:01
>
C0010
<M004 D05 12-25-88
The camera number is the number of the camera
that the programmer wants to have displayed.
The camera numbers can be in any order; the
Allegiant system can work with a totally random
sequence. This number may be any valid
camera number. Note the cell prompts (“>“ “<“)
before and after the camera number.
4.
Monitor Number
023 S0001 L0005 12:01:01
C0010>
M004<
D05 2-25-88
The monitor number is the monitor on which the
above-mentioned camera is to be displayed. A
single sequence may switch one monitor or it
may switch multiple monitors. . Note the cell
prompts (“>“ “<“) before and after the monitor
number.
