Flow Pattern Types

Two flow patterns are available in Volume Control ventilation therapy 
modes:

Square

Square

With a square wave pattern, airflow is generally constant throughout 
inspiration of the breath.

With a ramp flow pattern, the airflow starts high and decreases 
throughout inspiration of the breath.
