SIDE BURNER OPERATING
INSTRUCTION
SIDE BURNER USE AND INSTRUCTION
The side burner kit included with your PGS Model H40 is a great companion to and
accessory for your new grill that will add to the entire “Outdoor Cooking Experience”.
Your side burner is a great way to keep bbq sauce warm for basting meat, to heat
vegetables outdoor and keep the heat and mess outdoors, or to cook anything that you
normally would on your range indoors.
CAUTION must be used with the side burner
. Please follow the instructions below:
1.
Never allow total weight of pot or pan, liquid and cooking material to exceed 10 pounds,
excessive weight can create a dangerous situation as the entire grill can become unstable.
2.
Always wear heat resistant cooking gloves or use hot pads when handling pots or pans used
with Side Burner.
3.
Never leave Side Burner Kit on and unattended.
4.
DO NOT USE flammable oil in pot or pan.
5.
DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO PLAY AROUND GRILL AT ANY TIME, PARTICULARLY
WHEN SIDE BURNER IS IN USE.
6.
DO NOT HAVE GRILL OR SIDE BURNER “ON” WHEN MOVING GRILL.
7.
BE SURE TO KEEP SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE FROM CUMBUSTIBLES FROM ALL
SIDES (INCLUDING ABOVE) DURING OPERATION.
8.
Be certain that BRASS RING CAP is seated securely over burner, every time it is used
particularly if grill has been moved.
9.
Spiders and other insects may build nest in components of side burner, particularly if
extended period of Non-Use. After lighting side burner observe for a minimum on one
minute to insure it is operating normally.
10.
TO LIGHT SIDE BURNER simply insure gas supply at tank is “ON”, turn knob counter
clockwise, you should hear and see a small spark at the BRASS RING CAP. If burner does
not light, try again. If igniter does not light, you may light with a gas match, or match using
the lighting rod detailed on page 12. If side burner still does not light, contact your dealer or
AEI Corporation.
