Caution! Too high temperatures or
direct contact of burning coal with the
convection lid can damage the coating
of the product. Fire hazard!
WITH ATAGO AS A SMOKER
Read the user manual of the smoking chips
carefully and, if necessary, water them as
described in the user manual. When smoking
with the convection lid, use only few wood chips
at first and close the air supply control of the
Atago. The process should go very smoothly.
We recommend that you check the temperature
with a grilling and roasting thermometer.
Use coal, briquettes and smoking chips very
economically, for heat is kept very well inside
the Atago and under the convection lid.
WITH DUTCH OVEN
Place the convection lid over a Dutch Oven ft9
or smaller. Coal or briquettes are placed under
and on the Dutch Oven and release heat. Make
sure that the coal or briquettes are not in direct
contact with the convection lid (see illustra-
tion 3).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CARE
• The inside of the convection lid can be wiped
with a damp cloth for removing soot, food
splashes, etc.
• Let the convection lid cool down completely
after use. Then it can be cleaned and folded
for space-saving storage.
• Do not wash the convection lid in the washing
machine.
WARRANTY
Under normal use, a warranty period of two
years will apply to your Petromax Convection
Lid from the date of purchase. If you cannot
properly use your Petromax Convection Lid due
to a defect in material or manufacturing, you
are entitled to a warranty repair. Contact your
dealer for that purpose.
