3. Push the heatsink
clamp down (
A
) as
shown in the
illustration, and flip
it off the CPU
socket nub (
B
).
4. Disconnect the
heatsink clamp
from the opposite
side of the
heatsink, and
remove the
heatsink.
Note!
CPU fan and
heatsink installation
procedures may vary
with the type of CPU
fan/heatsink supplied.
5. Pull the CPU
socket-locking lever
away from the
socket to unhook it
(
A
) and raise the
locking lever to the
upright position (
B
).
The CPU socket
slides in the
direction of the
arrow (
C
)
Note:
The pin-1 corner is
marked with an arrow .
