Slide the stop rail (39) onto the saw blade (4).
The saw blade must be aligned perpendicularly.
Setting 0° on the scale (10).
There are 2 scales (o/n) on the guide rail (16). These show
the distance between the stop rail and saw blade (Figure
25). Select the appropriate scale according to whether the
stop rail (39) has been mounted for working with thick or
thin material: high stop rail (blue numbers): scale (o) lower
stop rail (black numbers): scale (n).
Align the scale to the markings. To do so, slide the guide
rails (16) onto the blue /black zero marking in accordance
with the display on the sight glass (p) on the parallel stop (6).
Once the scale is aligned, tightly fasten the four nuts of the
carriage bolts to fix the guide rail in place.
Mounting the collection bag for wood resi-
dues (Fig 42 )
11. Fully screw one nut onto each of the screws (f). Screw the
four screws with pre-attached nuts into the drill holes on the
short sides of the table width extender (7) or table length
extender (17) (see Fig. 2 / g). Fasten each in place using a
nut.
12. Suspend the collection bag for wood residues (15) onto the
four screws.
Check the position of the riving knife before
initial start-up. The riving knife is set to the
lowest position for transporting. The distance
between the saw blade (4) and riving knife (3)
should be 3-5 mm. (Fig. 18)
Mounting / adjusting the Riving Knife
Insert the battery
Caution! Remove the mains plug! The setting of the
saw blade (4) must be checked whenever a blade has
been replaced.
(Figures 16-20)
1. Adjust the saw blade (4) to a max. cutting depth, move to
the 0° position and lock in place.
2. Dismantle the saw blade guard (2)
(not during initial assembly).
3. Release the two attachment bolts (28) and remove the table
insert.
4. Loosen the fixing screw (29) (use the open-ended spanner
AF8 supplied).
5. Push the riving knife (3) upwards.
6. The distance between the saw blade and riving knife (3)
should be between 3 mm and max. 5 mm, (Figure 18).
7. Retighten the attachment bolts (29) and mount the
table insert (5).
8. Reattach the saw blade guard (2).
(Figures 15)
9. Inserting the batteries (Figure 15):
-
Turn the laser on/off switch (36) to the 0 position (laser off).
-
Remove the battery compartment cover (38) by loosening the
screw (37). Now remove the battery compartment cover (38)
by bending at the side.
-
Insert the batteries supplied (type AAA), ensuring the correct
polarity (see Figure 15).
-
Put the battery compartment cover (38) back in position and
tighten it with the screw (37). Notes concerning the batteries:
-
If you are not going to use the laser for a prolonged period,
please remove the batteries from the battery compartment.
Otherwise, the leaking of battery fluid might damage the
device.
-
Do not place the batteries on radiators or expose them for a
prolonged period to strong sunlight; temperatures above
45° could damage the device.
10. Initial mounting of the laser module:
-
Dismantle the saw blade guard (2) (not during initial
assembly). Mount the laser using the two Phillips head
screws (z), Fig. 15. Retighten the screws (z) alternately and
evenly. Reattach the saw blade guard (2).
Mounting / dismounting
the Saw Blade Guard
(Figures 19)
On first assembly, the assembly of the saw
blade protection has already been carried out in
the previous assembly step.
1. Loosen the knurled nut and wing nut (31) of the saw blade
guard (2). Place the saw blade guard (2) from the top onto
the riving knife (3).
2. Mount the screw with knurled nut (31) and wing nut as
depicted.
3. Tighten the screw with knurled nut (31). The saw blade
guard must be able to move freely.
4. Dismantling is carried out in reverse order. Caution! Before
you start sawing, the saw blade guard (2) has to be lowered
onto the item being sawn.
Replacing the Table Insert
(Figures 16)
1. If it is worn or damaged, the table insert (5) has to be repla-
ced, as otherwise there is an increased risk of injury.
2. Remove the 2 countersunk screws (28).
3. Slightly raise the table insert (5) at the back and slide back-
wards in the direction of the arrow. Take out the table insert
(5). The left-hand side of the central part of the table insert
(5) may require slight adjustment to release the nose of the
table insert (5).
4. The new table insert (Order-Nr.: 91105443) is mounted in
reverse order.
Attaching/changing the Saw Blade
(Figure 21)
1. Caution! Remove the mains plug and wear
protective gloves.
2. Dismantle the saw blade guard (2).
3. Remove the two countersunk screws (28).
Slightly raise the table insert (5) at the back and slide back-
