STATION FILE DESCRIPTION
The <Station> file describes the overall configuration of the network the
DDE server is supposed to be communicating with.
The <Dryer.Station.stn> system configuration should comprise of on
[STATION] description and a number of [TOPIC] descriptions.
Each [TOPIC] description is required for each node (dryer) in the network.
Each topic file has certain fields, which require site specific information
adding. The structure of a station file is given below: -
[STATION]
NAME
:
(DEFAULT: DRYER-STATION)
The station name should be alphanumeric and comprise of no more than 32-
characters. Note: the file name will not change to match the name entered
here. The file name should be changed to suit when saving the finished
Station file.
COMPORT: (DEFAULT)
The number of the RS232 communication port that is linked to the ANI. This
default value is “1” and should altered. only be altered if an alternative com-
munications port is used.
ANI-ID: (DEFAULT: 1)
The identification number of the ANI used to interface to the station’s RS485
network.
DIAL:
The dial command is intended for future use with a modem, as this facility is
not yet available “LOCAL” should always be entered.
[TOPIC]
DDENAME:
Enter the name by which you want to refer to the unit at the PC. Each node
(dryer) must have a unique name, default values given in the station files
supplied are DRYER1, DRYER2 etc.
This can be user altered but note the DDE command must be altered to suit.
