Language

This option is used to set the language that appears on the device (English, German, French. etc.).
Tap Language and select desired language.

Date and Time

This option is used to set the Time and Date. Tap the desired option and adjust as needed.

Regional Settings

This option is used to set the Region, Number Separator, Time Format, and Date Format.
Tap

Regional Settings

and select the desired options.



Region

: The setting is used to set the desired region. The options are: Americas, Europe, UK, Asia and

Japan.



Number Separator

: This setting is used to set the desired number separator for the region. The options

are: #,###.## and #.###,##.



Time Format

: This setting is used to set the desired time format. The options are: 12 Hour and 24 Hour.



Date Format

: This setting is used to set the desired date format. The options are: MM/DD/YYYY,

DD/MM/YYYY, DD.MM.YYYY, YYYY/MM/DD and YYYY-MM-DD.

Polarizer Filter Status

This option is used to set the filter glass status for the device when exchanging the polarizer filter glass. Refer to
the section

Exchanging the Filter Glass

earlier in this manual for more information on changing the physical

filter.
The options are Xp and Standard. Use Standard for the eXact 2 model or when measuring on paper-based
substrates with the eXact 2 Plus model. Use Xp for the eXact 2 Xp model or when measuring on flexible film
with the eXact 2 Plus model. For a detailed list of substrates by model type, see the table in the section “Basic
Sample Measurement Technique”.

Device Name

This option is used to set the name of the device. Tap

Device Name

and enter a desired name.

Registration QR Code

This option is used to access the QR Code that can be used to register your device. Scan the QR code with
your mobile device and complete the online form on my.xrite.com.

System Information

This option shows information about your device. Tap

System Information

to see the following information.

Time:

Displays the current time.

Device Name:

Displays the device name. The default name is eXact 2.

FW Version:

Displays the current firmware version.

Model:

Displays the device model.

S/N:

Displays the device serial number.

Aperture Size:

Displays the device aperture size.
