MPEG-4(1) / MPEG-4(2)
[MPEG-4 transmission]
Select “On” or “Off” to determine whether or not to transmit MPEG-4 images.
•
On:
Transmits MPEG-4 images.
•
Off:
Does not transmit MPEG-4 images.
•
Default:
On
IMPORTANT
•
When “4:3 (800x600)”
*1
or “16:9” is selected for “Aspect ratio”, MPEG-4 transmission is unavailable.
•
When “H.264” is selected for “Recording format”, MPEG-4 transmission is unavailable.
Note
•
When “On” is selected for “MPEG-4 transmission” in “MPEG-4(1)” or “MPEG-4(2)”, displaying of
MPEG-4 images or JPEG images on the “Live” page will be available.
•
When “On” is selected for “MPEG-4 transmission” in “MPEG-4(1)” and “MPEG-4(2)”, MPEG-4 images
are viewable using other devices with each setting.
•
When “On” is selected for “MPEG-4 transmission” in “MPEG-4(1)” or “MPEG-4(2)”, the transmission
interval of JPEG images may be longer.
[Internet mode (over HTTP)]
Select “On” when transmitting MPEG-4 images via the Internet. It is possible to transmit MPEG-4 images
without changing the broadband router settings configured for JPEG image transmission.
•
On:
MPEG-4 images and audio will be transmitted using the HTTP port. Refer to page 163 for further
information about the HTTP port number settings.
•
Off:
MPEG-4 images and audio will be transmitted using the UDP port.
•
Default:
Off
Note
•
When “On” is selected, only “Unicast port (AUTO)” will be available for “Transmission type”.
•
When “On” is selected, it may take seconds to start displaying MPEG-4 images.
•
When “On” is selected, MPEG-4 images may not be displayed depending on the number of the
concurrent access users and audio data availability, etc.
•
When “On” is selected, only IPv4 access is available.
Select “QVGA” or “VGA” for the image capture size of MPEG-4 images.
•
Default:
–
MPEG-4(1): VGA
–
MPEG-4(2): VGA
[Transmission priority]
Select a transmission priority for MPEG-4 images from the following.
•
Constant bit rate:
MPEG-4 images will be transmitted with the bit rate selected for “Max bit rate (per
client)*”.
•
Frame rate:
MPEG-4 images will be transmitted with the frame rate selected for “Frame rate*”.
•
Best effort:
In accordance with the network bandwidth, MPEG-4 images will be transmitted with the bit
rate varying between the maximum and minimum bit rates that are set for “Max bit rate (per client)*”.
•
Default:
Frame rate
Note
•
When “Frame rate” is set for “Transmission priority”, number of users who can access the camera may
be limited.
