Setup in Windows

NOTE:

• If the printer driver is to be installed using the shared folder, “

File and Print Sharing…

”

must be setup

on the computer running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me. To confirm this, follow steps below.

(1) Click

[Start]

, select

Settings

and click

Control Panel

(2) Double click the

Network

icon.

(3) Click

[File and Print Sharing...]

(4) Confirm

I want to be able to give others access to my files

and

I want to be able to allow

others to print to my printer(s)

check box are checked.

If the check mark is removed, click the check box.

(5) Click

[OK]

(6) Click

[OK]

(7) If the setting is changed, restart Windows.

[B] Setting a computer using the shared folder

If the shared folder has been created on the other computer on the network, you can use it to setup
your computer to

directly print from a computer to the printer

Open the shared folder of the other computer on the network.

Double click

Setup.exe

in the shared folder.

The License Agreement window is displayed.

Click

[Yes]

The Choose Destination Location window is displayed.
• You may change the Destination Folder by clicking the

[Browse...]

button.

Click

[Next >]

InstallShield Wizard Complete window is displayed.

Click

[Finish]
