Step 2: Setting up the printer driver and the printer port on the
computer

[Start]
, select
Settings
and then click
Printers
.
The Printers window is displayed.

Double click the
Add Printer
icon.
Add Printer Wizard window is displayed.

Click
[Next >]

Click the
Network printer
check button and then click
[Next >]
.

Click the
Connect to a printer on the internet or on your intranet
check
button.

Enter the URL for the printer in the
URL
box as follows:
http://IP Address/ipp
or
http://host name/ipp

Click
[Next >]

The Connect to Printer window is displayed.

[OK]

The Add Printer Wizard window is displayed.

Click
[Have Disk...]
.

Insert the printer CD-ROM disk into the CD-ROM drive.

Enter the path for the driver file on the printer CD-ROM disk as follows:

:\Win2000\English\Pcl
or

(CD-ROM drive letter)
:\Win2000\English\Ps
NOTE:
• Or you can also select the file as follows:
(1) Click
[Browse...]
and select and open each folder listed in either path above.
