Move the cursor to the desired item
parameter and select an item mode by
pressing the Direction buttons.
The selected mode will be underlined in the menu when the
cursor is moved to another item parameter by pressing the
▲
or
▼
button.
• RATE
Select the Baud Rate (communication speed in bps)
by pressing the Direction buttons.
• RS-485 UNIT #
Enter the desired unit address number (01 to 99) by
pressing the Numeric buttons.
It is not normally necessary to set it.

Press the ESC button to return to the
previous [420 SERIAL / HOST PORT] menu.

• Data Bit, Stop Bit, and Parity Check are fixed and
cannot be changed.
• The setting must be compatible with the device con-
nected.
Refer to the operating instructions of the device con-
nected for further setting details.
• The RS-485 Host Port and RS-232C Host Port cannot
be used at the same time.
They can be used by selecting one setting or the
other on the DIP switches.
Refer to the DIP switch setting for further detail set-
tings.
