Preparing the Answering System

26

Recording Mode 

Two recording modes are available. The factory preset is “Standard recording 
(16 min.)”, which provides more recording time (16 min.) and standard sound 
quality. “Enhanced recording (8 min.)” provides less recording time (8 min.) but 
clearer sound quality.

Message Alert 

You can select whether or not the Ringer indicator on the handset will flash when 
new messages have been recorded (p. 66). The factory preset is OFF.

•

The Ringer indicator will flash when a call is received whether this feature is on or 
off.

•

Battery operating time will be shortened when using this feature (p. 14).
