Error displays
Errors are displayed when trouble has occurred
in the unit, P2 card, etc. If the error persists even
after turning the power off and back on, depending
on what the error message says, replace the card
or contact your dealer.
SYSTEM ERROR
This appears when trouble has occurred in the
system. Turn the system’s power off and then
back on. P2 MICON ERROR (no response from
P2 microprocessor), P2 CONTROL ERROR (P2
control trouble)
TURN POWER OFF
This appears when trouble has occurred because
a card was ejected while its data was being
accessed. Turn the system’s power off and then
back on.
REC WARNING
This appears when trouble has occurred during
recording. Initiate the recording again. If the
warning is still displayed, consult your dealer.
CARD ERR (1) (2) (1/2)
(Trouble with the P2 card in the slot
corresponding to the number shown)
• If the warning persists, turn off the power.

If the warning persists even when recording is
initiated again, replace the existing card with
another one.
REC RAM OVERFLOW
(Recording RAM overflow)
CANNOT PLAY
This appears when trouble has occurred during
playback.

(Other errors)
1394
This appears when trouble has occurred in the
1394 connection or signals.
1394 INITIAL ERROR
(Connection trouble)
There is trouble in the 1394 connector
connection or the signals are not being input
or output correctly. This error may appear
with some connected hard drives. Check the
connections between the unit and the other
device. If the error display is not cleared, turn
the power off and then back on.
