1) Write-protect mark
The mark is displayed when a P2 card is
write-protected.
2) P2 card status
With the remaining memory display, the P2
card’s remaining memory is indicated using
a meter and as a percentage. With the used
memory display, the P2 card’s used memory is
indicated using a meter and as a percentage.
Depending on the status of the card, one of the
following messages may be displayed.
FORMAT
ERROR:
An unformatted P2 card has
been inserted.
NOT
SUPPORTED:
A card which is not supported
by the unit has been inserted.
NO CARD:
A P2 card has not been
inserted.
P2 card details display
When the cursor is moved to the slot whose P2
card status is displayed and is pressed, the
model number of the P2 card and other detailed
information on the card will be displayed. When
is pressed again, the detailed information is
cleared.
The card details are displayed as follows.

3) P2 card remaining memory (or used
memory) and total memory
In line with the format which was set by
“Switching playback formats” (Page 30), the
remaining memory (or used memory) and
total memory of the P2 card are converted
into minutes and displayed. Fractions of a
minute are discarded so that the total of the
remaining memory (or used memory) on each
P2 card may not exactly correspond to the total
memory.
4) Slot remaining memory (or used memory)
total
A figure representing the total for the remaining
memory (or used memory) of the cards in the
two P2 card slots is displayed.
• The free memory of a write-protected P2 card
is not included in the total free memory.
5) P2 card warning displays
is displayed when the P2 card is in one of
the following statuses:

P2 card details display.

When the number of times the card data has
been rewritten has exceeded the standard

DIR ENTRY NG CARD:
When the position of the folder does not
