UNLOCK
GENERAL
CLEANING
WARNING! Never hold any part of the spray gun or motor
under water or immerse into liquids.
WARNING! Do not use materials with a flashpoint below 70°F
(21°C). Flashpoint is the temperature that a fluid can produce
enough vapors to ignite.
WARNING! The clean-up area must be free of flammable
vapors and must be well ventilated.
Proper cleaning is the prerequisite for problem-free operation of your
paint sprayer.
1. Unplug power cord, press and hold the
trigger of the sprayer.
2. Unscrew the cup so that the material left
inside the spray gun returns to the cup.
3. Empty the material left in the cup into a paint
can or container.
4. Clean the cup with warm soapy water for water based materials, or the
recommended mineral spirits for oil based material.
5. Pour a small amount of warm soapy water or
mineral spirits into the cup and screw the cup
back onto the sprayer.
6. Connect sprayer’s power outlet and spray the
solvent or water onto a cloth or scrap piece of
material. When spraying cleaning solution,
always do this outdoors and in a safe area.
7. Wipe down the outside of the sprayer with a cloth soaked with water or
mineral spirits.
8. Unscrew the Collar and remove the Air Cap and Nozzle, then clean
these components with water or mineral spirits and the supplied brush.
Never
use a sharp object to clean these parts.
NOTE: When assembling, pay
attention to the small rib located at
the bottom of the Nozzle. The recess
located in the threads of the sprayer
must match the rib of the Nozzle. Do
not force.
To unlock and detach the sprayer’s front part of the body, press the
black “Unlock” button located on the top-center of the sprayer and
carefully pull apart. Inspect and clean visible material on the front part.
Add lubricant like Vaseline or
petroleum jelly to the black Rubber
Seal, then reassemble sprayer.
With the cleaning brush and warm soapy water, clean the Pick-Up Tube
in the cup. Keeping the Pick-Up Tube clean is important as it is the
material passage from Cup to the Gun. Any obstruction will affect
material flow.
MAINTENANCE
Your PaintWIZ Sprayer contains a washable/reusable filter. You must
check and ensure that this filter remains clean.
1. Unclip the Air Filter Cover from the top and
open.
2. Remove the dirty filter and wash with warm
soapy water. Allow to dry before reinstalling.
If the filter does not appear clean after washing, replace with a new one.
WARNING! Never operate the sprayer without the filter
installed. This could cause debris to enter the gun and damage
your equipment.
