13. Place the 5th log (Figure 60) so that the bottom end of the log rests against the right wall panel and on

top of the front base piece. Position the upper end so that the longer branch is cradled in the crook of
the 4th log (Figure 84). Position the lower end so that it is on top of the front base piece close to where
the door glass will be.

14. Place the 6th log (Figure 61) so that the top end rests on top of the 2nd log and the bottom end rests

against the left wall panel and left base piece (Figure 85). The bottom end should be close to the front
edge of the left base piece but not so close that it will be disturbed when re-installing the fireplace door.

15. Left over ember pieces can be used to hide the edges of the base pieces in addition to placing some on

top of the base pieces if desired.

16. Gently pull apart the individual pieces of the ember wool (Figure 63) so that they are not compressed or

compacted and spread them in front of the logs to finish (Figure 85).
