CARE & MAINTENANCE
The following section describes necessary maintenance for your PaceMaster treadmill. This maintenance is the responsibility of the
purchaser and is not covered under our warranty. Failure to perform this necessary maintenance could result in damage to your treadmill.
CAUTION: Unplug your treadmill before attempting any cleaning or maintenance.
Preventative Maintenance:
The following section outlines the cleaning and preventative maintenance that should be
performed at the recommended intervals
Cleaning your treadmill
•
Use a damp cloth to wipe any perspiration off the console, motor cover, and side rails after each use. The side rails are made of
steel. Occasionally applying a coat of automotive wax to them will help prevent rusting.
•
Every other week, vacuum around and underneath the treadmill.
Deck and Tread Belt Cleaning
The running belt on your PaceMaster rides on a low friction deck. Performance will be compromised if any foreign matter comes between
the tread belt and the deck. For this reason, extra care must be used in keeping the tread belt clean. Use a soft, damp cloth to remove
dust, dirt and foreign matter from the area along side of the belt. Do not clean the tread belt by turning on the treadmill.
Recommended Deck & Belt Lubrication
PaceMaster treadmills are manufactured with a low maintenance, pre-lubricated running belt. No lubrication is required for the first 4 - 9
months (see chart below) in residential use. The deck & belt on all treadmills are wear items, and to maximize performance and longevity
we recommend following the preventative maintenance deck & belt lubrication schedule below. Use the PaceMaster lubrication kit that
was supplied with your treadmill.
