Wash and clean the machine
⚠
When cleaning the machine, always comply with regulations and legislation
relating to waste water and environmental protection.
⚠
Never clean the machine using a jet of water. The electrical components can
become damaged.
Remove all dirt and grass from the machine at the end of the season. Check the
blades, sharpen them (or replace as required) and lubricate the blades using
protective oil. The wheels should be removed from the shaft at least once a season,
cleaned and the hub filled with new grease.
⚠
The engine must be switched off and the spark plug cap and spark plug lead
disconnected.
Procedure for removal, lubrication and re-fitting of the wheels:
a)
Secure the machine, so that the wheels can move freely. The machine must be made
secure so that no unintentional movements can occur.
b)
Remove the wheel nut
and remove the wheel from the shaft.
c)
Press the bearing out and wash dirt and old grease off.
d)
Fill with fresh grease and press the bearing back.
e)
Re-fit the wheel and tighten the nut so that the wheel can move freely, but without
having to much play on the sides. Remember to fit the pin!
Storage
Before storing, clean the machine of all dirt, deposits and plant remains. Repair
damaged paint on machine parts. Preserve the blades on the cutting disc if the
machine must be stored away for a longer period of time.
The machine must be stored cleaned and dried and kept out of the reach of children
and unauthorised persons and protected from the effects of wind and weather.
However, it is not recommended that an airtight cover is used, as this will cause
condensation to from, which will promote rust.
If the machine is stored with petrol in the petrol tank, keep any equipment that can
generate flames or sparks at a safe distance.
