Using for the first time
⚠
The machine is shipped without fuel and engine oil!
⚠
Read instructions thoroughly to avoid damage to the engine!
1.
Fill the engine with the stated type of engine oil and petrol.
2.
Set the choke to the first position (max. choke) and start the engine using the recoil
starter.
3.
Let the engine warm up for approx. 30 seconds.
⚠
Never let the engine operate unsupervised!
Starting the machine
⚠
When starting the engine, the engage lever for the blades should be in the
OFF position.
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Set the engines rpm to max. using the handle on the handlebar (if the engine is
starting from cold, allow the engine to warm up for approximately 30 s).
3.
Hold the handlebar in both hands and pull the blades engagement lever towards you.
⚠
Pull the lever slowly, two thirds the way down, so that the blades can start
their rotation and the engine will not stall.
Once the cutting disc begins to rotate, the drive belt will partially slip and a jarring
noise may be emitted, which will disappear once the drive belt is fully operating.
4.
Once the cutting disc begins to rotate, press the lever all the way down and hold it in.
NB:
On new or cold engines, the engine may stall several times when engaging the
cutting disc. This is only temporary and will cease once the engine has warmed up.
