Stopping the machine
The cutting disc will switch off as soon as the engagement lever is released. However,
it may take some time before it stops moving since it is fitted with anti-friction
bearings.
To switch off the engine, turn the switch to “OFF”.
⚠
In emergencies, release the engagement levers and the cutting disc will
switch off and slowly stop - the engine continues with an appropriate rpm-
therefore it must be switched off by turning the switch to the “OFF” position as
quickly as possible!
User Instructions
There are two ways to use the drum mower:
1.
If you wish to cut grass on well-maintained surfaces that are level, the machine can be
pushed forward without having to lift the machine’s front and with the gliding plate
gliding over the grass. However, be prepared that the forward movement will not be
completely even. Any unexpected bump will cause the machine to swing out to the
side.
2.
If the ground is uneven, e.g. if there are molehills, it is recommended that you lift the
machines front slightly by lightly pushing down on the handlebar while pushing the
machine forwards.
Cutting procedure
Set the engine to maximum rpm and allow the cutting disc to rotate at the maximum
speed and set the machine in motion towards the grass that is to be cut. The cut grass
will be ejected to the right side of the rotating disc and will hit the guard, which forms
a swathe of cut grass.
If the grass is very dense, high, rotten or sticky, the machine's working width should
be reduced accordingly, so that the cutting disc’s rotation is not overly reduced and
thus does not reduce the cutting quality.
