Operation
Preparing the engine
The engine contains neither oil nor petrol on delivery, this must be filled before
starting.
Filling with oil
1.
Place the machine on a level horizontal surface.
2.
Remove the oil plug/dipstick.
3.
Fill with oil according to the specifications. Use a funnel to avoid spills.
4.
Do not overfill – check the level by following the instructions:
Checking the oil level
1.
Place the machine on a level horizontal surface.
2.
Remove the oil plug/dipstick and wipe dry using a cloth.
3.
Insert it again without screwing it tight. Take it out again and read the oil level
on the dipstick.
4.
If the oil tank is full, the oil will reach the max. mark on the dipstick (see Figure
3).
5.
If the oil reaches or is less than the min. mark on the dipstick, carefully add oil
until the oil reaches the max. mark on the dipstick. DO NOT OVERFILL!
6.
Replace the oil plug/dipstick and tighten securely.
7.
Wipe up any spilled oil.
WARNING
Use only recommended fuel and oil. Use only approved fuel containers. Do
not smoke during refuelling. Never fill with fuel indoors or in a closed area. Stop the
engine and allow it to cool down for a couple of minutes before filling with fuel.
Filling with fuel
1.
Clean the surface around the fuel cap to avoid contamination.
2.
Slowly release the cap and place it on a clean surface,
3.
Carefully fill the tank with fuel. Avoid spilling fuel.
4.
Clean and inspect the gasket before replacing the cover.
5.
Replace the cap and tighten it securely by hand. Wipe up any spilled fuel.
