If the engine does not start after three attempts, press the primer bulb twice and try
again.

If the engine does not start after 5 or 6 attempts, see the “Troubleshooting” section.
WARNING
•
Never run the engine indoors or in poorly ventilated areas. The exhaust gas contains
carbon monoxide, an odourless and lethal gas.
•
Keep hands, feet and loose clothing away from the machine and moving parts of the
engine.
•
Do not touch the silencer and the areas around it – the parts can get very hot and you
can burn yourself.
Stopping the engine
Push the throttle all the way back to the
STOP position.
BE CAREFUL
The trimmer head will continue
to rotate for several seconds
after the engine has stopped.

Release the start lever, which will drop
to the starting position and disengage
the trimmer head.
Connecting the trimmer head

Hold the starter lever against the
handle and move the trimmer
handle forward to engage the
trimmer head. (See Figure 9).
