with nozzle (Figure 32). As soon as bubbles form on the upper layer of PVA foil, fully tighten the
screws. Now the head of the screw is countersunk.
Before taking off the casing and the orthosis, carefully sand down the material covering the
dummies until the edges are exposed (Figure 33).

CAUTION
Risk of getting pinched.
Overlapping sockets may cause the patient to suffer painful bruises when
bending the knee. The E-MAG Active reaches a maximum flexion angle of 150°. When cutting the
socket contours, ensure that the patient can bend the knee freely.
Cut the orthosis free as usual. Unscrew the casing and take it off. Should the screws be too
long for the casing, they need to be shortened. Remove all dummies and Plastilin® from the
casing and orthosis.
Sand down the edges of the orthosis and the casing.
Clamp the dummy for electronics A (Figure 34) into the corresponding receptacle B and place
the receptacle into the casing from the outside (Figure 35).
