Properly reassemble all components upon completion of the work.
WARNING
Risk of tipping due to changing the battery position.
Ensure that the batteries are up against the stop
during installation and that there is no play between the batteries and track when installing the track.
INfORMATION
When installing the track, ensure the release bolt engages correctly. It has to lock into the correspond-
ing recess on the drive unit sustainer.

6.3.4 Changing the battery installation position
WARNING
Risk of tipping due to changes in the centre of gravity.
Changing the battery position also changes
the centre of gravity of the C1000 DS. There is a risk that the steering casters may loose ground con-
tact and the front anti-tipper may engage.
Test the effects of the centre of gravity shift on the behaviour of the power wheelchair with the support
of an attendant.

By default, the batteries in the C1000 DS power wheelchair are installed in the far forward po-
sition. The battery position must be changed where required by the indication, e.g. dwarfism.
Changing the installation position of the batteries leads to a change in the centre of gravity of
the power wheelchair. The driving characteristics of the C1000 DS power wheelchair were
tested with all three possible battery positions and conform to the test standard requirements
in all cases.
