6Y44: 

The product is not suitable for use in a prosthesis.

6Y45: 

The product may be used in an interim prosthesis.

2 Intended use

2.1 Indications for use

The product is intended for compression therapy after an amputation,
to prepare for wearing a prosthesis.
The  product  must 

not

  be  used  for  compression  therapy  for  partial

hand or partial foot amputations.

2.2 Contraindications

•

Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (Doppler index less than 0.6
in non-amputated area)

•

Decompensated heart failure

•

Septic phlebitis

•

Phlegmasia cerulea dolens

•

Weeping dermatosis

•

Severe sensory disturbances

•

Intolerance and allergic reactions to the materials used

2.3 Lifetime

The product is a wear part, which means it is subject to normal wear
and tear.
The  maximum  permissible  number  of  reprocessing  cycles  limits  the
product lifetime (see page 8).

3.2 General safety instructions

WARNING!

Risk of severe injuries

►

Store the product out of reach of children. There is a risk of suf­
focation if the product is pulled over the mouth and nose.

CAUTION!

Risk of injury and risk of product damage

►

Keep  the  product  away  from  open  flames,  embers  and  other
sources of heat.

►

Make  sure  the  product  is  applied  properly  and  fits  correctly.
Improper  or  excessively  tight  application  can  cause  pressure
points and constriction of blood vessels and nerves.

►

Do not continue to use the product if it does not fit properly.

Skin irritation, formation of eczema or infections due to contam­
ination with germs

►

Reprocess  the  product  before  using  it  on  another  person  (see
page 8).

►

Observe the cleaning instructions.
