*For a pipe length less than 20 ft., use a 4
pipe diameter. For a pipe length of more than 20 ft., or
having more than two deviations, use a 5
pipe diameter. The maximum pipe length is 30 ft. (9 m).
This configuration can be found inside the chase, but must at all times maintain clearances to
combustibles. The following figure is shown as an example.

TO AVOID CONDENSATION AND RUST IN YOUR FIREPLACE, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO USE AN
INSULATED PIPE LONG ENOUGH (MINIMUM 10 FT) AND CONTAINING A "P-TRAP".
