TROUBLESHOOTING
The problems described in the following table are some common operating faults. These types of errors are generally caused by improper connections, incorrect operation set-
tings, or operational errors due to incomplete programming. These problems are usually not caused by circuit failures. Before you suspect that the radio has malfunctioned, please
refer to these tables and relevant parts of this manual.

The radio does not turn ON.
1. The power cable is not connected well.
2. The power cable fuse is broken.
3. Operating voltage is more than 17V or less than 9V.
1. Check the power cable is connected correctly: red (+); black (-).
2. Find the cause of the blown fuse, replace the new fuse with 15A current.
3. Adjust the power supply to 13.8V.

Unable to connect with GPS.
1. Connection error.
2. External GPS format is different.
1. Check the connection is correct.
2. External GPS format should be NMEA 0183-2.0 or 3.01.

Unable to scan.
No TAG channel set.
Set the channels you want to scan as TAG channel.

Unable to transmit.
Work on Weather Channel or Channel 70 or RX Only
Channels.
Exit the weather channel or channel 70 or RX Only Channel, select other
channels.

Can’t select high power.
Some channels can only be transmitted at low power.
Select other channels.

Can’t communicate on same

1. The channel is duplex (DUP).

2. The volume is too low.

3. Activate Vibration function to drain water away from speaker.
