2.2 Disassembling
1.
For deflating the boat, unscrew all the valve caps.
2.
Disassemble the seat.
3.
For aluminium-floored dinghies (for others, go directly to
point 5), remove the side fittings of the floor panels for
aluminium-floored dinghies.
4.
Lift up the middle floor section and detach it from the "H"
joints. Then remove the panels, finishing with those of the
bow and transom.
5.
Let out as much air as possible from all the chambers.
6.
Place your dinghy flat and fold the floats inwards.
7.
Roll up the dinghy from the transom and store it in its
carrying bag with the pump and other equipment.
2.3 Inflation valves
Orangemarine inflatable boats are provided with check valves for
avoiding air leakages when removing the pump hose or if the
valve cap is accidentally unscrewed. For blocking air, push in on
the valve stem and rotate to closed position (counterclockwise).
The valve stem must step out. For deflating the boat push in on
the valve stem and rotate clockwise to dig it.
90% of leaks found on a dinghy are located around the valves.
Particles of sand / earth / salt can get stuck in the valves, which
can be enough to create micro-leaks. Make sure you pay special
attention when looking after the valves: rinse with fresh water.
Leaks can also be the result of a valve coming loose: in this case,
make sure you tighten the valve using the special wrench.
2.4 Mounting the motor
The signal plate on the boat and the compliance declaration
indicate the maximum power authorized for the motor to mount.
Never pass this limit.
When you buy a motor, you must bear in mind its weight and the
type of propeller shaft it needs (long or short). The motor will be
installed on the reinforced board provided for this aim.
Remember to screw in the engine mounting screws properly
when sailing; they may come loose due to engine vibration.
The motor handbook will give you the information needed to
place and use it. Motor oil is highly inflammable and its
inhalation could cause sickness. Orangemarine declines its
responsibility for deterioration of its boats due to a bad use of
the motor.
3. SAFETY
•
Lisez le manuel d’utilisation du moteur pour une installation
correcte.
•
Read the motor handbook for a correct installation
•
Do not use your boat if you suspect an air leak
•
Do not use this inflatable boat for doing rafting or other
extreme sports
•
Be sure to observe the maximum weight specified for the
dinghy as shown on the manufacturer's plate.
•
The boat must not be driven by a person under the influence
of alcohol or drugs.
•
The loads must be distributed evenly. In case of light load
and of use of a motor, do not accelerate sharply.
•
The load capacity and the motor HP must not be exceeded.
•
Be sure to know the general rules and the local conditions
of navigation before leaving.
•
Always inform someone about the time and place of
departure, itinerary and expected time of return.
•
The boat material is not fireproof, be careful not to
manipulate source of fire or source of heat next to the boat
