as shown in Figure 5-3 ), the front side of the pupil (glossy side) is heated upwards
with an alcohol lamp to a slight redness, and the dirt on the visible light ray 60
changes from yellow to black, and then gradually disappears. Repeat the burning for
1-2 times, each time for a few seconds, until the surface of the enamel is smooth, be
careful not to burn for a long time, so as not to damage the glare. Cool the burnt light
in alcohol and place it on a clean, lint-free cloth.
Note: Platinum enamel is soft and thin. When using stainless steel tweezers, it is
easy to scratch the surface of the enamel. Especially when scratching the pupil, it will
affect the image quality, so you need to be very careful. Place the diaphragm on a
clean, lint-free cloth and gently clip the edges with tweezers
13. The three objective lenses are mounted in the optical mast. The back side is
mounted upwards and is fixed with a top post and a small spring.
14. Apply a thin layer of vacuum grease to the rubber “O” ring of the light rod.
15. Insert the light rod into the iris holder, adjust the position so that the limit pin is in
the limit groove, and push the light rod flat to make the thread contact.
16. Turn the knurled knob on the light lever clockwise until the first score line on the
light rod is flush with the end face.
17. Click “Pump” and wait for the ultra-high vacuum to perform other work.
