1) Turn off the power to the PT.
2) Remove the backlight case at the rear of the PT, by pressing on the place
where it is indicated and pushing upward.

3) Pull off the attached CFL Unit connector and remove the CFL Unit.

4) Install the new CFL Unit and insert the connector, being careful to match
the polarity.
5) Replace the backlight case, and snap it carefully in place.

Caution To avoid electrical shock, be sure to turn off the power before removing the
backlight cover.
Be sure to put the cover back on after replacing the CFL Unit.
8-4 Maintenance and Inspection
8-4-1 Spare Terminals
In order to restore operations as quickly as possible in the event of a PT
breakdown, it is a good idea to always keep a spare PT on hand.
8-4-2 Inspection
If the PT screen gets dirty, it will become hard to read. Be careful of the fol-
lowing points when cleaning it.
•
When cleaning, wipe with a dry, soft cloth. If the dirt does not come off, then
moisten the rag with water and rub hard.
