Note: Changes to IP Address, Subnet Mask, or Router
Address will not take effect until any open
network connections are ended.
Network Settings: IP Address
allows you to enter the static IP address of this unit. Consult the
network administrator to get an IP address assigned. It is imperative to have a unique IP address
in order to prevent network conflicts. Having two units with the same IP address will not allow
simultaneous access to both units.
Network Settings: Subnet Mask
is a variable that should be provided to you by your system
administrator. This setting, like the IP address and other network settings, should often be set only
once and then only changed if the unit is moved or the network architecture is changed. Usually
the default value of 255.255.255.0 is appropriate.
Network Settings: Router Address
should also be provided by the system administrator.
Note:
Changes to IP Address, Subnet Mask, or Router Address will not take effect until any open Telnet
command processors are terminated. Open FTP and RTS connections will fail if these settings are
changed during an open connection.
SNMP Manager
n
allows configuration for up to two IP addresses for receiving traps. The single
digit identifier for each manager (1 or 2) will be used to identify each of these when configuring
alarm notification.
SNMP Community
sets the SNMP trap community to use.
Duplex
controls the echo settings for Telnet. Full duplex causes the unit to echo all characters
sent to the remote device. Half duplex turns off character echo.
Inactivity Timeout
is the number of minutes the DL100 will wait before terminating an idle
connection. "0" disables this feature.
FTP Push Setup
contains the settings for FTP push. This functionality is used to deliver records
and data stored within the DL100 on a regular schedule, using FTP.
