N.B. when the height of the vegetation impedes the visibility of any foreign
bodies, it is necessary to undertake preliminary cutting at an intermediate
height and then proceed to inspect the ground and remove any eventual foreign
bodies. This preventive operation will considerably reduce machine wear and
power requirement.

Make sure that the PTO shaft joint is correctly mounted both on the
tractor PTO and on the machine shaft.
•
Ensure that the PTO shaft is covered for at least 150mm in the most
extended position.
•
Ensure that the guards are in perfect order an that they can move
freely and that the fixture chains are not under stress when the
machine is fully raised or lowered.
•
Check that in continuous working position, that the PTO shaft angle
does not exceed 20° in relation to the alignment of the tractor PTO.
•
Make sure that the PTO shaft joint does not touch the tractor PTO
guard, the shaft guard or the drive unit or other machine parts.
•
Any operation relating to the PTO shaft or the tractor PTO must be
undertaken with the tractor at a standstill, with the ignition key
removed and the PTO shaft in stop position.

Ensure that the tractor is equipped with operator protection devices and that it
is possible to control the cutting operations through these guards.
The operator and any accompanying personnel must, during the period of use,
maintenance, repair, driving or storage of the machine wear safety shoes,
gloves and safety helmets as well as goggles to protect against falling or thrown
objects arising from the machine function. The clothing worn by the operator or
the accompanying personnel, must be as tight fitting as possible.
Never wear loose or flapping clothing.
Never allow the machine to be used by non-experienced or untrained personnel,
unless accompanied. All the machine use operations must be understand slowly
in order to avoid any carelessness that may cause danger situations.
Firstly, carefully read and understand the present instruction manual. Should
any paragraphs be unclear do not hesitate to immediately contact your dealer

Before beginning the cutting operations, familiarize yourself with the machine
in a space free of obstacles and in the absence of outsiders.
