Transducer plug is not connected to
the THUNDERBEAT or
SONICBEAT socket properly.
Confirm that the transducer plug is
connected to the THUNDERBEAT or
SONICBEAT socket on the front panel of the
ultrasonic generator. If not, connect it
properly.
Transducer malfunction.
The transducer is defective. Replace the
transducer.
THUNDERBEAT and/or
SONICBEAT is/are not
identified.
Ultrasonic generator malfunction.
Remove the THUNDERBEAT and/or
SONICBEAT from the body cavity and press
the power switch to OFF. Contact Olympus.
The footswitch plug is not connected
to the footswitch socket properly.
Connect the footswitch plug to the footswitch
socket firmly.
Footswitch malfunction.
The footswitch is defective. Remove the
THUNDERBEAT and/or SONICBEAT from
the body cavity and press the power switch
to OFF. Replace the footswitch.
Footswitch is not
identified.
Ultrasonic generator malfunction.
Remove the THUNDERBEAT and/or
SONICBEAT from the body cavity and press
the power switch to OFF. Contact Olympus.
The transducer is heated.
Transducer temperature is too
high due to continuous output.
Stop output until the temperature cools down.
Operation is not appropriate.
Operate the instrument properly referring to
Chapter 4, “Operation” in the instruction
manual for THUNDERBEAT or SONICBEAT.
The treated site is not appropriate.
Treat the adequate site referring to Chapter
4, “Operation” in the instruction manual for
THUNDERBEAT or SONICBEAT.
The grasping surface (white Teflon
surface) has been worn out.
If the grasping surface (white Teflon surface)
has been worn out, replace THUNDERBEAT
or SONICBEAT with a new one.
Carbonized tissue is present on the
grasping section or the probe tip.
Remove the carbonized tissue from the
grasping section or the probe tip with sterile
gauze or soft brush.
Difficult to grasp tissue.
THUNDERBEAT or SONICBEAT
instrument malfunction.
The THUNDERBEAT or SONICBEAT
instrument is defective. Remove the
THUNDERBEAT and/or SONICBEAT from
the body cavity and press the power switch
to OFF. Replace the THUNDERBEAT or
SONICBEAT instrument.
Carbonized tissue is present onthe
grasping section or the probe tip.
Remove the carbonized tissue from the
grasping section or the probe tip with sterile
gauze or soft brush.
Opening and closing ofthe
grasping section is
stiff/can't open.
THUNDERBEAT or SONICBEAT
instrument malfunction.
The THUNDERBEAT or SONICBEAT
instrument is defective. Remove the
THUNDERBEAT and/or SONICBEAT from
the body cavity and press the power switch
to OFF. Replace the THUNDERBEAT or
SONICBEAT instrument.
