Setup of the
“COLOR
BALANCE” Menu
This menu is used to adjust the color balance in the
printed picture. After installing a new ink ribbon and
print sheets on this instrument, it is recommended to
perform this setup in order to correct alteration of color
tones due to the combination of the ink ribbon and print
sheets.
To display the “COLOR BALANCE” menu

Press the “MENU” button to initiate the menu
display.

Press “

” or “
V
” to select “PRINTER SETUP,”
and press the “ENTER” button.

Press “
b
” or “
B
” to display the “COLOR
BALANCE” menu (see Figure 5.8). The
highlighted area in the display shows the current
range that will be printed out for color balance
adjustment.

Set the range to be printed out for color balance
adjustment.
While holding the “DISPLAY” button on the front
panel, press “
v ,” “ V ,” “ b ” and “ B ” to set the range.
The “COLOR BALANCE” menu disappears
temporarily during the setting.
Note that it is only possible to move the position of
the printed range and that its size cannot be varied.

The picture for use in the color balance adjustment
will be printed out as shown in Figure 5.9. The
values of “X” and “Y” are printed below each
image.

: Moves the highlighted area upward.
V :
Moves the highlighted area downward.
b : Moves the highlighted area leftward.
B : Moves the highlighted area rightward.
