9. In the Least squares fitting area of the dialog box, click the Automatic check box.
The XPowder software identifies the first crystal/phase that best matches the
pattern.
10. In the phase list, click the check box of the highlighted phase to identify the next
phase most likely to fit the pattern.
In many cases, this is another isomer of the same crystal/phase.
11. Click Unchecks to eliminate unchecked (unwanted) phases (see Figure C-9 on
page 87).
