Replacing The Gas Spring 
 

WARNING

 

      

ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE SLICER FROM THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE 

ATTEMPTING ANY TYPE OF MAINTENANCE TASK. 

 
The Gas Spring is located on the right hand side of the machine, therefore the right hand 
cover must be removed.  Do this by first removing the hand lever by removing its set 
screw located in the hub.  See the illustration below. 

 

 

 
Remove the bagging scoop, the top and front guards by removing the ten knobs which 
secure them in place, also remove the crumb tray.  Remove the handle by loosening the 
set screw which holds the handle after which it can be slid out of the hub.  The cover can 
then be removed by first removing the six slotted head screws which secure it in place.
