3.6 - B0863 - Signal converter kit
• The converter RTU-ASCII must be used for line MODBUS direct zone.
• The converter converts the signal MODBUS RTU of B0858 in signal MODBUS
ASCII suitable for Olimpia Splendid’s fan coils and heat pumps.
• B0863 requires power supply 18VAC 20VA (or 8-35VDC 20W)
The converter also has the
task to divide and buffer the
network: it is advised to use
a B0859 every 50 terminals
and not beyond 500 metres
of communication line.

The terminals of SIOS CONTROL are divided into:
• direct zone unit (fan coils, decorative radiator, hydronic splits);
• unit of mixed zone (radiant floor, dehumidifier);
• others (controlled mechanical ventilation CMV).
The largest and most complex building includes:
DIRECT ZONE
• 200 Bi2 fan coils units and wall commands Bi2
• 1 SHERPA or AQUADUE or TOWER or monoblock heat pump
• 4 decorative radiator
• 4 temperature/humidity thermostats
• 4 wall fan coils Ci2
• 1 direct zone circulator outlet
• 1 external air temperature probe
MIXED ZONE (to be multiplied by 7)
• 1 mixed zone circulator outlet
• 1 mixing valve outlet
• 1 mixed zone water temperature probe inlet
• 1 dehumidifiers circulator outlet
• 4 temperature/humidity thermostats
SIOS CONTROL is designed to manage the building divided into rooms.
The units can be divided into up to a maximum of 50 direct zone rooms and 28 mixed
zone rooms.
