1 - INTRODUCTION
SIOS CONTROL is a management system of a room cooling and heating system.
The system is modular, it adapts to buildings of different sizes and also allows to
control the system remotely.
SIOS CONTROL terminals consist of:
• SHERPA, SHERPA AQUADUE, TOWER and monoblock heat pump unit.
• Fan coils Bi2.
• Wall fan coils CI2.
• Air circulators SITALI.
• Radiant floor.
• Dehumidifiers.
• Decorative radiators.
• Mixing valves.
• Water circulators for direct zone and mixed zone.
• Zone actuators.
The core of the system is composed of the main control unit B0858: a PLC which
controls and connects all the components with each other.
The connection between the various components occurs mainly by means of two
wired networks RS485.
In addition to RS485 serial ports there are relay outputs, analogical inputs/outputs,
an Ethernet port for connection to a router and to a PC and an USB port for software
update.
B0858 is also equipped with a small display sufficient to:
• Configure the TCP/IP network.
• Start a software update.
• Switch on and off the system in case of emergency.
In B0858 is located the whole command and control logic of SIOS.
B0858 also contains in its memory information on how the terminals are divided by
rooms by the installer and therefore on how they must interact with each other.
If the system is accessed locally (without app, without cloud), B0858 shows the web
server (graphic interface strictly necessary for the installer to configure the system for
the user to control it locally).
If the system is accessed remotely (with app or cloud), the web server graphic is
replaced by the app or cloud graphic.
