START
Is the transfer wire broken?
YES Replace the transfer wire
NO Replace the high voltage power supply unit.
If the problem still exists, run the Engine Test
(See Section 4.7 of the Service Handbook){

Are horizontal ruled lines output?
YES Replace the main controller circuit board.
NO Is the LED head connected properly? (Check for good contact.)
NO Connect the LED head properly.
YES Is the image drum cartridge connected to the ground?
NO Clean the ground contact of the image drum
cartridge.
YES Replace the engine controller circuit board.
Is the problem solved?
YES END
NO Replace the LED head.
Is the problem solved?
YES END
NO Replace the image
drum cartridge.
