8 < MAIN STEPS

MAIN STEPS

The main steps involved in the S900 Scancopier installation are listed
below and expanded as required in the following sections. (A
particular installation will depend on the range of optional items
involved, and it is assumed that the customer’s printer is already
operational.)

1.

Check the contents of the Scancopier and any optional
packages.

2.

Check that sufficient space is available for the installation.

3.

Install the IEEE1394 (Firewire) card in the printer and, if
required, upgrade the Firewire firmware.

4.

If required, install the Scancopier Stand kit and cabinet.

5.

Install the Scancopier and the Automatic Document Feeder.

6.

Carry out basic copying and scanning checks.

7.

Make the user aware of useful information.

NOTE

You will need a laptop PC for this task.
