13.2 Modbus TCP/IP – Static IP
If the AHC-3000 is connected to a stand-alone network without a DHCP server, or via a normal patch
cable to a local computer, select “
Static IP
” under the menu “
Static/Dynamic IP
”.
After selecting “
Static IP
”, specify the IP-address and the Netmask. Normally it is not necessary to
specify the Gateway, Primary and Secondary DNS. These values are normally sent automatically
from the AHC-3000 after connection.
If the AHC-3000 is connected to a local computer: Remember to adapt the settings on your
computer to the settings on the AHC-3000.
If the local IT department has reserved a specific fixed IP-address for the AHC-3000, also select
“
Static IP
”. After selecting “
Static IP
” specify the correct communication settings, such as: IP-
Address, Gateway, Primary and Secondary DNS. You will receive this information from the local IT
department.
13.3 MAC address
MAC address is a static number issued by OJ Electronics A/S. It cannot be changed.
13.4 Modbus RTU
If the AHC-3000 is connected to a BMS system which is a communication Modbus RTU, you must
specify the communication parameters like:
• Modbus address
• Baud rate
• Parity
• Number of stop bits
The AHC-3000 is connected to the BMS Modbus network via the RJ12 plug connector marked
“
BMS Modbus RS485
”, using a RJ12 patch cable.
