Note:
Both the time and depth trigger numbers increase until they roll over and start
again. Pressing the set button continuously causes the number values to accelerate until
they roll over and start at “0” again.
Dive Start:
The PSLV starts recording a dive when you descend below 1 meter.
Dive End:
When you ascend to within 1 meter of the surface, the dive ends.
Command Inflation by pressing the remote button:
Any time you may command your PSLV to
inflate. Simply press the remote button 4 times rapidly. To prevent the buttons from “accumulating” or
storing pushes throughout the dive (for example bumping something and pushing a button), this
sequence must be completed in 5 seconds.
Command inflation by pulling the manual cord:
Running with the remote communicator wire is the
manual activation cord. A quick pull on this combined cord, with a force of about 15-20 pounds, will
trigger inflation by manually tripping the actuator trigger.
Oral inflation:
While you are on the surface, you may also inflate the PSLV by using the oral inflation tube behind the
right lapel. To manually inflate the PSLV, open the right lapel pouch by unsnapping it to expose the oral
inflation tube. Rotate the lock cap several times counterclockwise to allow downward movement and then
blow into the hose while at the same time pressing against the spring-loaded valve.
DESCRIPTION OF MENU SCREENS AND SETTING OPTIONS:
Use the Mode button (the large button) to cycle between the screens—battery level, depth setting trigger
and the time setting trigger and the mode (Auto,Dive, Scuba, Delay, or Light On/Off.)
Set the mode:
By leaving the screen mode displayed
,
the actuator is set to that mode.
For example,
setting the screen to Auto sets this mode. (Auto mode may also be set by a long press on the remote
communicator, which will toggle the modes between “Immersion ” mode and “Submersion” modes.)
IMPORTANT Submersion mode is always selected if you leave a non-mode screen on the LCD. For
example, leaving the LCD at the depth-setting screen will cause the unit to enter Submersion (Dive)
mode.
Set the mode by leaving these screens visible:
for Immersion (Surface mode),
or
for Submersion (Dive ) mode, or
for SCUBA mode, or
for Delay mode.
Set the trigger time—the time when reached, the PSLV will fire:
Press the mode screen until the
Trigger time screen appears:
Use the Set button to increase. The longer the Set button is
pressed, the faster the numbers advance until they cycle back to “0.”
Set the trigger depth—the depth when reached, the PSLV will fire:
Press the mode screen until
the Trigger depth screen appears:
Use the Set button to increase (depth in meters.)
Battery level :
The battery level screens alternate, “batt” and the
percentage of charge. When the charge level dips to 10%, the screen will read
“lo”
