Never insert objects of any kind into the scanner through the cabinet slots
since they may touch dangerous voltage points, resulting in a risk of fire or
electrical shock.
■
Never spill liquid of any kind onto the scanner.
■
Do not attempt to service the scanner yourself. For all mechanical repairs,
contact qualified technicians.
When to call a service technician
Unplug the scanner and call for a service technician if you encounter one of the
following problems:
■
there is damage to the power cord.
■
liquid spills onto the scanner.
■
the scanner came into contact with rain or water.
■
the scanner does not operate properly under normal conditions even when
following operating instructions.
■
the scanner fell over or there is damage to the scanner body.
■
the scanner exhibits a distinct change in performance which you cannot fix,
even after carrying out the recommended equipment maintenance
procedures.
