Scanner configurations
The Océ CS 4040/4050 exists in three different firmware configurations. The
“Smart Card” gives you the option to upgrade the scanner firmware and add
more functions.

2-D sharpening and softening apply to colour scanning. 2-D adaptive
and ADL apply to monochrome scanning.
