How to use the hand mixer
Hand mixer with whisks
Place the mixer upright and hold onto the stem of the whisks while inserting
them into the openings on the underside of the appliance. You will hear a click
when the whisks engage.
Position the 5-level speed control (2.) at 0 and insert the plug into a mains
socket (remember to switch on) – the mixer is now ready for use.
Hold the stem of the mixer while inserting the whisks into the ingredients to
be whipped. Use your thumb to select the speed level by pushing the speed
control to the right and to the left, respectively – also when the appliance in on.
Always start at level 1. Move the whisks around in the bowl in order to obtain a
consistent blend.
In order to avoid splashes, always keep the whisks in the ingredients in the
bowl and switch off the mixer before lifting the whisks off the bowl.
The whisk is used for whipping egg whites, cream etc. Do not use the whisk to
mix tough mixtures such as shortcrust pastry etc.
NOTE! MAKE SURE THAT THE WHISKS AND THE DOUGH HOOKS
ROTATE FREELY IN THE PRODUCT TO BE WHIPPED/MIXED. IF NOT,
THE MOTOR OF THE MIXER MAY BE OVERLOADED!
DO NOT USE DOUGH HOOKS AND WHISKS AT THE SAME TIME!
Hand mixer with dough hooks
Mount the dough hook with the ring on the top of the stem (4) in the big
opening and the dough hook without a ring (5) in the small opening. It is
important to position the hooks in this way as, if not, the dough/mixture will
work its way up the dough hooks and stem.
The dough hooks are used to mix tough dough, such as shortcrust pastry etc.
