9.14 JAVA Midlet

Your O

Xda Flame supports Java Edition, JME. The MIDlet Manager allows you to

download Java applications, such as games and tools specifically designed for mobile

devices. The Java MIDlet Manager gives you a high level of flexibility when installing and

managing additional JME applications from the Internet.

Installing from the Internet

You can install MIDlets/MIDlet suites directly from the Internet using Internet Explorer in
conjunction with the MIDlet Manager.

Menu

Instal

Browser

• Alternatively, launch

Internet Explorer

. Locate a MIDlets/MIDlet suite you wish to download (this is normally .jad or .jar).

. Select the MIDlets/MIDlet suite and download it.

4. You will be asked to confirm before the download begins.
5. A progress screen is displayed while files are downloaded. You can cancel the download

at any time.

Once your download is completed, the MIDlet Manager will automatically start and prompt

you to install your new MIDlets/MIDlet suite. You must confirm that you want to proceed;

the installation of your MIDlets/MIDlet suite is then completed. Alternatively, you can cancel
installation at any time.
