GPIO_DIR is the direction control registers of the 8-bit GPIO port.

If a GPIO_DIR register bit is 0, the corresponding GPIO port pin is in input mode, and can be accessed through the same
GPIO1_IOn pin.

If a GPIO_DIR register bit is 1, the corresponding GPIO port pin is in output mode, and GPIO1 port pins are set to the
corresponding value in GPIO_IOn.
