2.9 QSPI interface
The LS1046ARDB supports QSPI as the primary system boot source. The LS1046ARDB QSPI has the following features:
• Two onboard QSPI flash memories for boot image
• Off-board QSPI emulation support
on page 31 shows QSPI interface. The LS1046ARDB supports two onboard 64 MB Spansion S25FS512SDSMFI011
quad-SPI serial flash memories (U45 and U48) and an external QSPI emulator (J23) with 20-pin 0.05” pitch header, SamTec
TFM-110-02-S-D-SN-K-TR or equivalent.
The LS1046ARDB supports three 2:1 switches, NX3DV221TK (U41, U42, and U43) that drive the QSPI chip-select signals to the
QSPI memories or QSPI emulator.
2.10 SDHC interface
The LS1046A eSDHC controller is connected to the onboard SDHC connector. SD cards and MMC memories (using SD-MMC
adapter) can be used on this connector. The connector also provides write protect and card detect mechanical switches.
SDHC_VS output signal is used to select EVDD between 1.8 V / 3.3 V SD card I/O voltages. Three dual 1:2 mux/demux devices,
NX3DV42GU (U514, U512, and U513) drive the SDHC signals to eMMC or SD card.
The figure below shows the SDHC signal connections supported on the LS1046ARDB.
