Chapter 7 Port Connections for the Passport 4460 107

Reference for Passport 4460 Hardware

 

Reset 

If your system is not operating properly, you may need to perform a reset to either 
restore your current configuration (warm reset) or bring your configuration back 
to the factory defaults.

There is no hardware-only cold reset (cold start). You need to connect to the 
software. When you press the reset button for at least two seconds, a menu will 
display for this feature. Refer to your software documentation for additional 
information (see 

“Product documentation” on page 17

).

The reset button (RST) is located on the rear of the Passport 4460, just above the 
Port 2 WAN slot. The following illustration shows the location of the reset 
indicator and reset button. Use a small, pointed object to access the reset button.
